The University of Moratuwa is considered one of the leading technical universities in Sri Lanka. It provides many degrees and diplomas while facilitating most of the national research projects.
I joined as an engineering student at Moratuwa University in the year 2014 and selected the Electronics and Telecommunication BSc. Degree program. The program consists of technical, ethical, and management courses that dive deep into the theoretical aspects of Electronics and Telecommunications.
The course is aimed at delivering talented professionals with a comprehension of theoretical concepts and their applications, problem-solving, technical leadership, creativity, ethics and sustainability.
The department has the vision to provide professionals for ten different fields with this program and they are Electronic Product Design, Integrated Circuit (IC) Design, Reconfigurable Electronics, Embedded Systems, Internet of Things (IoT), Communications, Networking, Systems Theory and Engineering, Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR), Robotics and Automation. Electronics and Telecommunication department (EN as course code prefix) conducts most of the subjects for the program. In the meantime, some recommended or compulsory subjects are given by different departments. Especially from the Department of Mathematics (MA). Some subjects are given by the Computer Science Department (CS), the Management Department (MN), the Electrical Department (EE), and the Mechanical Department (ME).

At the end of the program, I was able to earn 161 credits by doing some extra subjects and a GPA of 3.29. I graduated with a Second Lower BSc. Eng. (Hons) Degree in December 2018.
